Actor Cillian Murphy has signed on for a starring role in the film "Inception."
"Inception," which will also star Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page and Michael Caine, is being kept under protective custody by Warner Brothers.
They're keeping the actual concept a secret and say only that the movie will be a sci-fi action tale set within "the architecture of the mind."
Inception is directed by his old friend Christopher Nolan, famous for helming the "Batman" movies including last year’s mega-blockbuster "The Dark Knight."
Meanwhile, Murphy will be seen later this year in the psychological thriller "Peacock," which is said to be reminiscent of the 60s classic "Psycho" by Alfred Hitchcock.
"Peacock" sees Murphy playing a bank teller in Nebraska who has a split personality; he’s both male and female. “Once the secret is revealed, however, he tries to convince the townsfolk that the man and the woman are actually two separate people who are married,” according to MTV News.
Murphy fans can also look for him later this year in a film called "Perrier’s Bounty," in which he stars with fellow Irishman Brendan Gleeson and Jim Broadbent. The movie will be released at some point in Ireland, but no date has been set for the U.S. as of yet.
The plot centers on “a gangster named Perrier looks to exact his revenge on a trio of fugitives responsible for the accidental death of one of his cronies.”
Judging by his career choices to date, it’s obvious that Murphy isn’t into comedy or romance. Maybe the dreamy looking actor will surprise us one day, though!
