Bill O'Reilly's famously pugnacious interview style is something he's aware of himself.

This week he laughingly described himself as a thug during a 60 Minutes interview with Norah O'Donnell that aired on Sunday.

Asked about his record of frequently getting in trouble in school as a kid, O'Reilly said laughing, 'Ain’t America great? I was a little thug and now I’m getting paid millions of dollars for being a big thug.'

O'Reilly seemed to suggest that being a little - and now a big - thug was probably part of his inheritance as a working class Irish Catholic kid from Long Island.

According to the Huffington Post O'Reilly then spoke to CBS News' O'Donnell about his new book - which he says God Himself inspired him to write - called Killing Jesus.

God told him to write the book, O'Reilly insisted.

'I have never once in my life did any job for money,' O'Reilly concluded
