Good on ya for being able to admit the mistake. Damian is so very talented and at a young age. He got lucky when his voice changed that he is able to continue to sing. Please Damian don't fall into the "American way". Stay true to your roots and keep your Irish accent. Good luck Damian.
Thank you for this. As others have posted, I have been a follower of Celtic Thunder for over 3.5 years and Damian's charm is more than evident onstage as well as in person. What you're seeing now is what many of his fans have seen and known for a long time. Thank you again for this article. :-)
Ahh goodness, let us hope that Damian does NOT become American Style.. He is IRISH and that is what he should be 'loved' for, NOT being 'striped' down and altered to be Americanised. That would be absolutely HORRID. Damian is a very talented individual, and if Ryan Murphy is NOT able to recognise that, then forget him. Damian please please do NOT fall to the American way/style, please please stay true to the European roots. It would be absolutely disgusting to lose you to this US way of life..
At least you're man enough to admit you made a mistake. We Americans have been spell bound by Damo since he was 14. He will be a big star and we can say we saw him when-
@ohrightyeah: consider the arse licked! I was wrong and man enough to admit it. :)
Time for Irish Central to lick ass in case he wins and they want an interview. So transparent lads.
Spot on! He's beaten down each week, examined and criticized in the last-chance performances, with no adoring grannies anywhere to be seen. He's been told that everything he knows about performing is wrong. He doesn't have Alex's voice, Samuel's confidence or Lindsay's training. What keeps him going? Ryan Murphy calls him 'unformed', which really means that Damian has been stripped to the bone of all previous performance knowledge and can now be molded into what Ryan Murphy needs. It's going to be a new Damian, American-style. Talk about gifts of the Holy Spirit! He has fortitude and courage in spades. I liked him before but now I'm excited to see what he can do. OK, maybe not 'Danny Boy' - we can let that one rest for a bit. Can't wait for his appearances next year. Bravo, Damian!
He's a breath of fresh air, with his open Irish way about him. I hope he never loses that quality, in the plastic, botox-injected, carbon-copy world of fame.
