Alec Baldwin is thinking about going under the knife

“30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin says he is interested in getting cosmetic surgery.

The 51-year-old Irish-American actor is considering going under the knife because he is unhappy with the effect the ageing process is having on his looks.

Speaking about surgically-altering his appearance, Baldwin said: "I'm not saying I wouldn't do something! I intend to do something. I probably will.

“Let's put it this way, I wouldn't rule it out because...You don't think I wake up every day and wish I looked like this and this and this? But I can't let that bother me."

But Baldwin, who had a butt double for his new movie “It’s Complicated,” is happy with some parts of his body.

"I have a great ass, if I may say so,” he said. “That's a part of my body that needs no surgical enhancement or rearranging."

The actor, who split from his actress wife of eight years Kim Basinger in 2001, admitted he regrets the end of his marriage. The couple has one child, Ireland, 14, together.

He told America’s Entertainment Weekly magazine: “It is complicated. I had a pretty tough divorce myself, so sometimes I sit there and I go, 'Well, should I have worked it out?’ Maybe I should have tried harder. "

But Baldwin believes relationships are a risk – and not everybody has a lifelong marriage.

 “It’s what you teach your children about their love lives. No risk no reward,” he said.

“Not everybody gets so lucky, where they have a family and a marriage forever and ever."
