'Sex And The City' star Sarah Jessica Parker will never play another character like Carrie Bradshaw

 The 'Sex And The City' star has opened up about playing the famous role of Carrie Bradshaw in the hit TV series and two movies and admits that, although she loved playing the fashionista, she wouldn't choose to play a "flawed" individual with similar personality traits.

Speaking in ELLE magazine's 'Women in Hollywood' issue Sarah explained: "I don't love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City.

"I loved Sex and the City's Carrie and I don't want to do the poor man's version of her. And while those are often the lucrative things to do, it's more reason to look in the other direction."

AnnaSophia Robb will be playing a young Carrie in spin-off show 'The Carrie Diaries', which airs from January 2013.

Parker, 47, recently revealed she wouldn't be giving AnnaSophia any tips or advice about the part because the up-and-coming actress is portraying Carrie when she is in her late teens.

She said: "I would never give advice. No, no, no."

"It's like someone giving romance advice or parenting advice. It's such a unique experience, playing a part and I'm sure they found someone wonderful."

The special edition of America's ELLE will celebrate actresses who have made a significant contribution to the film industry, and Parker features alongside Octavia Spencer, Cate Blanchett, Kristen Wiig, Uma Thurman, Elle Fanning, Emma Watson, Shirley MacLaine and Susan Sarandon.
