February is a beautiful month to visit Ireland. Spring is on its way, the flowers are starting to bloom, and there’s much to celebrate.
Between St. Brigid’s Day on the 1st, St. Valentine’s on the 14th (he’s buried in Dublin by the way) and then various other great events taking place around the country, there’s something for everyone.

Kildare Town – Festival of St. Brigid, events celebrating the saint
Féile Bríde (Brigid’s Festival) is a week-long series of events commencing on the eve of St. Brigid’s Day, the first day of February.
Féile Bríde incorporates a Peace and Justice conference in collaboration with Afri – Action from Ireland, workshops, and a candle lit ritual on Brigid’s Eve at the well.

Kerry - Éigse na Brídeoige, Irish cultural festival
Éigse na Brídeoige is a cultural festival which takes place every year during the first weekend in February. The events are spread over various centres in the Gaeltacht areas of Iveragh in South Kerry.
