Americans are being offered some of the best deals ever to Ireland with a new fare sale from Aer Lingus.

The Irish carrier is offering an all-in Casstle Package deal for two with B&B accommodation, car hire and one night in Ashford Castle from as little as $599 per person.

The package - which is only available out of American cities - includes three nights in a farmhouse Bed and Breakfast, two nights in the 4-star Croke Park Hotel and one night in the luxury Ashford Castle.

The offer also includes manual car hire plus of course the all-important seat on the plane.

You can even add on business class for $499 each way.

So technically, you could take a premium week in Ireland with car hire, accommodation and first-class seats for $1500 a person or a bargain vacation for $599 a person.

The rates differ depending on where you're traveling from and are only available for people traveling from America.

But they stil represent some of the best value I've seen in the past 10 years traveling back and forth across the Atlantic.

The fare sale also includes seat only from as little as $229 each way if you book by January 21 and travel between April 10 and June 15.

However, clearly the all-in package is a much better deal.

As luck would have it I need to be in Ireland twice this summer; my godchild Maia is making her first Communion in May and close friends are getting married (to each other!) in June.

I don't dare miss either event and now thanks to Aer Lingus I don't need to.

I just wish all these events were taking place at Ashford Castle so I could do the Castle Package instead!
