If you didn’t have plans to head to the beach this weekend you will after watching this short film about Lahinch surfer Ollie O’Flaherty.

The film, made by Kevin Smith, certainly doesn’t sugar-coat the fact that Irish weather can be miserable but O’Flaherty’s simple voice over about the amazing surfing spot he calls home will make you want to dive right in.

Aptly called “Winter Glow”, O’Flaherty’s words and this hypnotic footage will have you running to the seaside.

As he puts it himself “It’s gotta be the best place in the world to surf.”

O’Flaherty, is a native of Lahinch, County Clare and is a sponsored surfer and instructor.
