The statisticians have done their work and the news is good! Property prices in Ireland (outside Dublin) are currently 35.7 percent lower than they were during the boom times.

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office of Ireland show that while property prices in the year, from 2015 to this May, have risen by 6.9 percent, at a national level, prices are nowhere near what they were at the peak of the property market, in September 2007.

What does this mean for the average Joe Soap looking to own their little slice of Ireland? Well, there are still bargains to be had on the market.

This month we decided to take a look at what €125,000 ($139,230) and we were pleasantly surprised.
