U2 have joined other global acts, to introduce a special release for the upcoming “Black Friday” later this week.

The Irish rock band will be offering a limited-edition three-song live EP on vinyl entitled “Wide Awake in Europe”.

One of the tracks included is “Mercy”, which was recorded as part of their recent 360 tour in Brussels last September. This is the first time the track will be released.

The other two tracks are “Moment of Surrender” and “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight”, which were also recorded during their recent tour.

Only 5,000 copies of the limited-edition EP will be available to fans, primarily in the United States.

The band join Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Metallica, the Gaslight Anthem the Black Crowes, Grinderman, the Doors, the Black Keys which are all linked to national Record Store Day. Record Store Day highlights the existence of physical stores that specialize in selling CDs and vinyl.

"We all wanted to get behind Record Store Day,” U2 bassist Adam Clayton said on behalf of the band in a statement released Monday. “My local record shop introduced me to music I didn’t know and I might never have discovered."
