Trailer for Colin Farrell’s 'Dead Man Down' pulled after Newtown massacre

Colin Farrell on location shooting 'Dead Man Down' in Philadelphia

No surprise here – E! News reported on Tuesday that the online trailer for Colin Farrell’s upcoming flick, Dead Man Down, has been pulled because of the atrocity in Newtown.

E said that studio bosses at Film District were just revving up their promo machine for the flick, which sees Farrell playing a man seeking revenge for the murder of his wife and daughter, and meeting a woman who was disfigured by a drunk driver along the way.

Film District had just started sending out mailers to writers – “a bullet-shaped thumb drive set in a plain, wooden box inscribed with the words, Blood Demands Blood,” reports E.

Clearly, those kinds of sentiments are unfortunate giving the massacre, but the film is still scheduled to open on time next March 8.
