Perpetually rehabbing starlet Lindsay Lohan has at least one fellow young celeb on her side – Irish teen actress Saoirse Ronan, 19 and already an Oscar nominee a few years back for her role in 'Atonement.'

Saoirse, who most recently starred in Stephenie Meyer’s 'The Host,' said she too could have ended up with multiple mugshots just like Linds – but her mother kept her on the straight and narrow.

“You’re being offered all these different temptations, and everyone is either telling you how great you are or talking about you behind your back,” Saoirse recently told Time Out London.

“Lindsay Lohan was the It Girl from, like, 14. That’s a lot of pressure. If you don’t have your mam telling you, ‘Remember you’re still my daughter,’ you’re going to go off the rails.”

While poor Lindsay is drying out in rehab yet again, Saoirse’s career continues to soar. She’s in Detroit these days working with Ryan Gosling, the actor who’s trying his hand at writing and directing for the first time with his film 'How to Catch a Monster.'  Saoirse co-stars with Christina Hendricks of 'Mad Men' fame, and is having a great time working with her new boss.

"If there's something we don't feel like doing," she said, "like, if my character doesn't feel like she would get in a car, and I tell [Ryan] that, he'll rewrite the scene later. He's just so relaxed and very, very creative,” Saoirse told The Los Angeles Times last week.

The Irish teen hasn’t developed a crush on the hunky Gosling though, whose name always comes up when it comes to casting the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' trilogy.

“Oh, to be honest, I have never thought of Ryan that way,” Saoirse laughed.  “I mean, I met him when I was 14.”

Look for Saoirse on June 7 in a film called 'Violet & Daisy,' which co-stars Alexis Bledel and James Gandolfini. She made the flick a couple of years back and it’s finally seeing the light of day.  It’s been described as a “'Thelma and Louise' meets 'Superbad' meets 'Pulp Fiction'” story, whatever that means.
