Andreas Durkin has become a well-known artist in Ireland and abroad for his eclectic mix of music which ranges from Irish to country and western and popular. 

A talented keyboard player and vocalist, he may have inherited some of his talents from his mother, Kathy Durkin, who has had numerous hits, one of the most popular being “Working Man” which remained in the Irish charts for 26 weeks and was the best-selling single in Ireland in 1990 and ‘91.

Andreas worked in Dublin after finishing college in 2000 for five years, but now is pursuing a career in the music business.  Since 2005 he has toured the U.S, the U.K. and parts of Europe with his mother, as well as around Ireland with his own group Cheap Whiskey. He has also has entertained on numerous Caribbean and Middle Eastern cruises alongside the likes of  Andy Cooney, Ronan Tynan, Paddy Cole, Johnny McEvoy, Simon Casey and many more. 

Durkan also tours as musical director with the Tony Kenny Show in America, and provides musical entertainment for private and corporate events.  This year he will tour throughout the U.S., and play on an Alaskan cruise with a host of artists.

In 2008, Andreas recorded his first album entitled …The Land Across the Sea, and his new album, Roll Back the Clouds, is due for release in the Glenrowan Bar and Restaurant, 840 Midland Avenue in Yonkers, on Saturday February 25.  On the night there will some special guests including his mother.
