Susan Boyle won't need to apply for a bus pass in the future. The unlikely Scottish singing star has sold an astounding 14million albums in last 14 months.

No wonder she cracked open the champagne with several of her closest music industry bosses this week.

Boyle, 49, from Blackburn, West Lothian, has become the highest selling artist in the world for the Sony music label for the second year running.
This week the singer (and cash cow) was presented with a very special award to mark the 14million sales of her albums I Dreamed A Dream and The Gift.

"Words can't describe how happy I am," she told the press. "Seeing this award made it all so real. I've loved every minute and I can't wait to get back in to the studio again and for all the other exciting projects that 2011 will bring."

Earlier this month, Boyle welcomed family and friends to a house-warming at her swanky new £300,000 home in Blackburn. With 14 million albums under her belt, it a certainty she'll be installing gold taps next.
