Here’s a meeting of minds you won’t soon forget - two highly intelligent and well-respected personalities discuss the question of God.

On his series “The Meaning of Life,” veteran Irish TV and radio presenter Gay Byrne asks the famously articulate Stephen Fry one of his usual questions: “You are confronted by God. What will Stephen Fry say to him, her, or it?”

Fry, a staunch atheist, returns with the longest and most impassioned response “Gaybo” has ever gotten to the question, leaving him stunned.

“Bone cancer in children?” Fry begins. “What’s that about?”

“Atheism is not just believing there isn’t a god, but on the assumption that there is one, what kind of God is he?” Fry asked. “It’s perfectly apparent that he’s monstrous, utterly monstrous, and deserves no respect whatsoever.”
