“The Colbert Report” guests Daft Punk cancelled at the last minute but this failed to stop Irish American funnyman Stephen Colbert from busting some pretty funky moves with a star-studded cast.

The “Get Lucky” duo Daft Punk were set to play at StePhest Colbchella '013, the Report’s summer concert series dubbed, “the anti-establishment, convention-destroying rock and roll ethos brought to you by Hyundai.” Sadly Daft Punk pulled out at the last minute due to a exclusivity conflict with the MTV Video Music Awards.

Colbert said, “You see, we booked Click and Clack over here about a month ago...Well, apparently, Daft Punk are going to make a surprise appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards. Don’t tell anybody, because fun fact: No one told me until two o'clock yesterday.”

The Comedy Central host busted out some pretty respectable moves albeit wearing tube socks and roller skates and was joined by celebrity friends, including Hugh Laurie, Jeff Bridges, Charlie Rose, Jimmy Fallon, a plaid leisure suit-wearing Bryan Cranston and, naturally, Henry Kissinger.

Here’s the brilliant clip:
