A new book claims that Sarah Palin, 47, once enjoyed a steamy one-night-stand with an NBA star. Palin, who was 24 at the time, is portrayed as a drug taking wild child, and a far cry from the conservative vice presidential image she would craft two decades later.

According to biographer Joe McGinniss, 68, who's salacious new book 'The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin' is already making international headlines, Palin once slept with the six foot eight inch African American basketball player Glen Rice while she was working for her local new station KTUU-TV.

But McGinnis produces even more dirt, Palin's one night stand reportedly happened whilst she was dating Todd Palin and just nine months before she would elope, pregnant, with him.

McGinnis' book also claims Palin had a six month affair with one of her husband's colleagues while they were married, a claim Todd Palin has since denied.

Most shockingly of all, McGinnis' claims Palin snorted cocaine off a 55 gallon oil drum and had previously smoked marijuana with one of her college professors.

The revelations come at a particularly sensitive time for Palin, who's long flirtation with joining the 2012 presidential race is nearing crunch time.

To research the new expose McGinniss actually moved in next door to the Palin's in Alaska, leading Todd Palin to describe him to the press this week as 'stalker' with a 'creepy obsession' about his wife.

In a report in The Daily Mail this week McGinness dismissed Todd Palin's pointed comments with some invective of his own, calling Sarah Palin an 'utter fraud' and a 'tenth-grade mean girl.'

'Those were kind words compared to a lot of what you would hear in Wasilla today,' McGinniss told ABC News this week. 'The thing that I found that really surprised me was that the people who know her best like her least.'

The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, which will be published on September 20, alleges that the half-term governor of Alaska is far from the conservative family woman she claims to be.

McGinnis reportedly claims in his new book that after college Palin developed a 'fetish' for black men. Rice is said to have confirmed the one-night-strand in McGinniss's book.
