Sam Claflin signed on for Kristen Stewart’s ‘Snow White’

Sam Claflin

Kristen Stewart has found herself a real Prince Charming in English actor Sam Claflin. But fans of Stewart and her romance with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson need not to worry; Claflin is merely playing the role of "Prince Charmant" in the upcoming film re-visioning of Snow White and the Huntsman.

The Suffolk born and bred actor landed the role in the upcoming fairy tale romance opposite Stewart as Snow White, and the aptly cast Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen. He has recently completed production alongside Johnny Depp in the to-be-released Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The new film has yet to cast the Huntsman, but the latest rumors suggest Aussie hunk and lead actor in Thor, Chris Hemsworth, has been offered the role. Another Aussie star, Hugh Jackman, was also rumored to be up for the part.

Unlike the Disney version of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, the film is to tell the tale of Snow White, under the watchful eye of the Huntsman, as she trains to defeat the Evil queen while simultaneously on a quest for her Prince. It is also competition for another reworking of Snow White, which is to star musician Phil Collins's daughter Lily Collins, and Armie Hammer as the prince. As of right now, our bets are on Mr. Claflin really pulling it off, though Hammer has an Oscar-winner under his belt with The Social Network.

Although Stewart and Pattinson seem to be rock solid, Pattinson might want to watch his back with Claflin as Ms Stewart seems to have a thing for her ridiculously handsome, English co-stars.
