Yesterday morning a radio station reported that actor Russell Crowe had fallen 50 feet to his death while filming a movie on a remote mountain in Kitzbuhel, Austria, and from there the rumor of Crowe's death just exploded all over the internet.

'Russell Crowe dies' was a trending topic on Google (Google ranked its search hotness as 'Volcanic') and Twitter went into overdrive with users spreading the 'news.'

However, according to Crowe's rep, the 46-year-old actor is in fact alive and well. Crowe's rep told US Magazine the internet rumors are 'not true.'

Crowe's latest film, "Robin Hood", opened with less than spectacular numbers domestically, but has done well internationally.

Crowe will next be seen in "The Next Three Days" directed by Paul Haggis ("Crash") and co-starring Liam Neeson ("The A-Team") and Olivia Wilde. He's also got a starring role in a remake of "A Star is Born" in the works.
