Robert Pattinson has been tipped to join the cast of “The Rover." Deadline reports that Pattinson is set to star alongside Guy Pearce in the movie, which will apparently be directed by Australian filmmaker David Michod.

The film will be set in the near future and follows Pearce’s character as he ruthlessly hunts a group of thieves through the rough Australian outback after they steal his car.

The “Twilight” star has been tipped to play the part of Reynolds, the brother of one of the thieves, who is left behind after an altercation with police.

The London-born actor was also recently cast in Jean-Stephane Sauvaire's “Mission Blacklist," where he will play a soldier hunting down Saddam Hussein.

Pattinson most recently wrapped up the final “Twilight” installment, “Breaking Dawn: Part II”, which will be released in November. He is also heading to Cannes later this month for his starring role in David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis.”
