Rebecca Hall is set to play a former IRA terrorist, turned informer, in the upcoming spy drama “Shadow Dancer”.
 
Guy Pearce, of “LA Confidential” and “Memento” fame, is set to play the male lead and it will be directed by James Marsh, who also directed “Man on Wire”.
 
“Shadow Dancer” will tell the talel of Hall’s character a former IRA terrorist who has turned informer for MI 5. Her husband has been killed by British security forces and she is forced to reveal everything she knows about the IRA so she can see her children again.
 
The movie is based on Tom Bradby’s book. Bradby also came on board to write the screenplay. According to Variety his script had landed on the Brit List. This is the British equivalent to Hollywood’s Black List, the best unproduced scripts around town.
 
Following her role in Ben Affleck’s “The Town” ,Rebecca Hall has ensured that she is on her way to becoming on the Hollywood A-listers. Her name has also been connected to the role of Daisy in Baz Luhrmann's “The Great Gatsby” adaptation. There’s also rumors that she will be involved in Will Ferrell’s “Everything Must Go” dramedy.
