The former ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge will quiz the star pair on ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ as well as radio shock-jock Howard Stern and former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during the initial batch of programmes.

It is already known that his guest on the opening night of the series on January 17 will be Oprah Winfrey.

Other guests confirmed for the following weeks include Rod Stewart, Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Massachusetts Governor and Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Kid Rock and Donald and Melania Trump.

'Piers Morgan Tonight' is replacing the legendary 'Larry King Live' show on CNN and as well as being screened in the US it can be seen on the CNN International channel from January 18.

The 45-year-old British journalist is reportedly being paid $8.4 million to front the series.

He revealed last week he was determined to get Oprah, 56, as his first guest, saying: “I wanted to start my new show with the ultimate bang and for that I needed the biggest star in the world but also somebody who was one of the most powerful people in the world. And that narrowed the list down, as far I as I was concerned, to one person."
