Pierce Brosnan's film “The Greatest," also starring  Susan Sarandon and Carey Mulligan, will be released in  late March it has been announced.

"The Greatest" will tell the story of  a couple pushed to the limit of their endurance by the death of their son in a car crash Allen.  A young woman later shows up claiming she is pregnant by their late son and her interaction with the stricken family is the core of the movie.

"The Greatest," which Brosnan also produced, marks a busy time for the Irish former Bond star.  He also has "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" and "Remember Me" due for release this winter, and  his recently-completed film, Roman Polanski’s "The Ghost Writer" will be shown at the Berlin Film Festival in February.

Oscar-winner Sarandon just announced she has broken up with long- time partner Tim Robbins. She is currently starring alongside Irish actress Saoirse Ronan in  "The Lovely Bones."
