Paul McCartney tickets at $1,500 each for his Dublin concert are causing outrage among fans. But fans who are desperate to see McCartney may have no choice.

Cheaper tickets for the Beatles legend who plays the O2 venue on Sunday December 20th have already been snapped up.

Consumer watchdog organizations have described the prices as “outrageous” in the current recession.

The Consumer's Association said the prices, which are offered through a company called Event Travel, are “cynical attempts to get more money from fans.”

Michael Kilycoyne, a spokesman for the group, told the Evening Herald that he “had no sympathy for anyone foolish enough”  to pay the massive sum.

Regular tickets were going for $110 dollars. The $1,500 tickets include access to the sound check, a VIP entrance and a premium seat.
