One Direction had some VIPs in their audience recently when they performed in Virginia as part of their first U.S. headline tour.

First daughters Sasha (11) and Malia (14) Obama were in attendance at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA, flanked by Secret Service agents.

“There was loads of Secret Service there, there was 15 of them on two girls, it was crazy,” Niall Horan told the Ralphie Radio Show.

“I am a big fan of their Dad, but they are big fans of us so it’s good to have them along,” he added.

Michelle Obama invited One Direction to the White House during the Kids' Choice Awards early this year, unfortunately the band couldn’t make it, due to their busy schedule.

“When we met them at the Kids Choice Awards, they said that if we couldn’t come to the White House that they would come to our concert,” Horan said.

Being the President’s daughters definitely comes in handy at concerts it seems, as the girls got to sit down and have a powwow with the hottest boy band around.

“We sat in a room across from our dressing room and just had a conversation about everything,” Horan revealed.

“It went from food to roller coasters to life to them having loads of security all the time.”
