The Sunday Times Rich List has revealed that the collective bank balance of pop sensation One Direction has made them the richest boy band in Britain.

The boys — Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, all 19, Zayn Malik, 20, and Louis Tomlinson, 21 — became famous in 2010 when they got together on the X Factor and have since played 60 sell-out shows in 2012, topped the charts in 16 countries and produced two best-selling albums, Up All Night and Take Me Home, which together have sold 3 million copies.

Worth nearly $8 million each, The Sun reveals that the boys can now be counted on the list of music millionaires under 30 and are one of the leading charity donors in Britain after their Comic Relief single ‘One Way or Another’ became a chart topper in 60 countries.
