Irish acting star Olivia Wilde has taken on a production role in a documentary short which will premiere at the upcoming 2011 Tribeca Film Festival.
Directed by David Darg, the 27-minute long production “Sun City Picture House” tells the story of Rapheal Louigene, a young Haitian man who has a passion for films. After enlisting the help of a priest he becomes inspired to build Haiti's only movie theater.
The 27-year-old teamed up with fellow actor Maria Bello to executively produce the short.
Both actors are supporters of Artists for Peace and Justice, an organization that helps provide education, meals, clean drinking water and medical treatment to children living in poverty in Haiti.
