Northern Irish artist, Lisa Byrne has been named as one of the 25 shortlisted artists to be chosen by the Guggenheim Museum and YouTube to be included in the YouTube Play competition.

Byrne, from County Down  is a photographer, artist and lecturer. Her video, "Taxi III Stand Up and Cry Like a Man", tells tales of the Troubles in the North through the eyes of the country’s taxi drivers.

Her art has already become a talking point of the New York art scene. The New York Times has said that her footage of the local taxi drivers from her town of Hallsmills, outside Banbridge “may burn a hole in your heart.”
