Glee star Matthew Morrison told the press this week he always knew the show would be a hit.

The 32 year old actor revealed he immediately sensed the show about a group of high school misfits who love to sing and dance would prove popular.

Morrison plays beloved singing teacher Mr. Schuester in the series and he claims the whole cast were confident the script was something special.

'I knew right away!' Morrison said in an interview with the BBC. 'When we were doing it we all felt like we were part of something special - there was just something in the air. It was different and fresh.'

Filming for the highly-anticipated second season with stars such as Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez and Susan Boyle rumored to be making cameos, will start in July.

Although Morrison says he doesn’t feel any pressure for the second season to be as good, he admits the writers of Glee have a lot to live up to.

'We have set the bar really high, so it's going to be hard to maintain that level of writing on the show,' he said.

'Glee's' success has helped Matthew land a solo record deal, and his debut album will be released later this year.
