Jackie O'Riley
One of Boston's favorite dance instructors, Kieran Jordan, will host a week-long intensive at Boston Percussive Dance designed for teen and adult non-competitive step dancers. The enriching week of dance instruction will take place August 1-7, 2011 at the Boston Percussive Dance studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Kieran herself will be teaching, along with three wonderful guest artists: Niall O'Leary, ADCRG from New York, Kevin Doyle from Rhode Island, and Jackie O'Riley, her frequent collaborator here in Boston.
The schedule is:
August 1-5th: Evening classes with Kieran Jordan and Jackie O'Riley for teens and adults at the Advanced Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.
Saturday, August 6th
Rhythm Celebration with Rhode Island Dance Master Kevin Doyle for teens and adults at the Intermediate and Advanced levels. This class features live accordion music by Dan Gurney!
Special Children's introductory class with Boston's own Jackie Riley for Beginner children ages 6 to 12. One hour of fun!
Sunday, August 7th
Irish Dance Technique, Musicality, Tricks and Clicks! with New York City guest artist Niall O'Leary
In addition, Kieran will offer Sean-Nos (old style Irish step dancing) for classes or private lessons on either Saturday or Sunday.
