Janeane Garofalo is considering a deal to join a CBS “Criminal Minds,” crime drama, spin-off.

The actress-comedienne has starred as a CTU analyst in “24,” though she’s probably most well know for her stand-up comedy and her roles in film such as “The Truth about Cats and Dogs."

The proposed crime drama will be called “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour” according to Entertainment Weekly. Oscar winner, Forest Whitaker will lead a team of FBI agents of the Behavioral Analysis Unit as they use their book smarts to hunt down killers. Whitaker’s character, Sam Cooper, was previously introduced into the original “Criminal Minds” show in the fifth season.

Garofalo became available to take on this role after the untitle medical drama pilot she had been involved in failed to be picked up by the network.

“Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior” will debut on CBS in 2011.
