Irish star of “The Tudors” Sarah Bolger is set to join “Locke & Key” on Fox.

She will join Miranda Otto in the adaptation of Joe Hill’s comic “Locke & Key”. The series will be directed by Mark Romanek and Bolger will star as the character of Kinsey Locke, on the three children at the centre of the tale.

The series tells the story of a family who is ripped apart by the tragic death of the patriarch. The three children are forced to move in with their mother (Otto). She lives in Keyhouse, a mysterious house in Lovecraft, Massachusetts.

The mansion has supernatural powers and transformative qualities that manifest in the form of keys and doors which grant the children various powers. Also there is a hate-filled creature that lives at the at the manor who wishes to over through the Lockes.

Bolger is far from inexperienced when it comes to TV. She starred as Lady Mary Tudor in three seasons of “The Tudors” filmed in Ardmore Studios, Wicklow. She has also featured in feature movies such as “In America”, “The Spiderwick Chronicles” and “Stormbreaker”.
