Tommy Mulvihill Band set to perform on March 2nd

An Irish Festival by day and an Irish Fight Night by night – that’s what’s in store for visitors to the Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, Queens on Saturday, March 2

The festival will take place from noon until 6 p.m.  Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early and enjoy a great day of entertainment with some of the best Irish musicians, Irish stepdancers and bagpipers in town.  Shop from a variety of quality Irish merchandise at one of the many vendors that will be on hand.

On hand to entertain will be the Tommy Mulvihill Band from 1 p.m. until 2:15 p.m.; then the Inishfree School of Irish Dance will perform for 15 minutes. Celtic Cross will take the stage from 2:30 p.m. until 3:45, followed by another 15 minutes of dancing.

Look for Jameson’s Revenge from 4 p.m. until 4:45 p.m., followed by 15 minutes of piping by the NY Metro Pipe Band. Jameson’s Revenge will close the festival with an hour-long set at 5 p.m.

Immediately following the festival, Resorts will host an evening of Irish amateur boxing featuring the St. John’s Boxing Club direct from Co. Cork as they take on some of the finest amateur fighters in the New York metropolitan area.

The entire event will be held indoors with plenty of free parking available.  Tickets for the festival are $20, and $25 for the boxing. VIP ringside boxing seats are $50.
