New York’s Irish Arts Center has launched its first ever live CD which showcases recordings of various Irish talent from the annual Christmas celebration, the critically-acclaimed holiday concert celebration for all the family.

‘An Irish Christmas: A Musical Solstice Celebration;’ is the first album in the Center’s Live from Irish Arts Center recording series.

The album features Mick Moloney (Green Fields of America) and fiddler Athena Tergis (Riverdance) as well as old-time and Appalachian fiddler Rhys Jones, Filipino singer Grace Nono, singer Liz Hanley, button accordionist Billy McComiskey, pianist Brendan Dolan, dancer Niall O’Leary and The Washington Square Harp and Shamrock Orchestra.

An Irish Christmas, the concert, takes place at the Irish Arts Center (553 West 51st Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues; subway C E to 50th street) from Wednesday, December 7 – Sunday, December 18. The performance schedule is Wednesday to Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM and 8PM.
