Speaking to the Wrap he said, “I’m excited about it…It’s a fun movie because it could be big entertainment. It’s a big budget, you can’t do it small -- it’s landing in Normandy.”

The book follows the men through an 11 month period from D-Day to V-E Day. The group of men worked behind enemy lines and were often left unarmed.

The duo, Clooney and Heslov, have worked on other political or socially oriented projects together in the past including, “Ides of March” last year as well as “Good Night and Good Luck” and “Men Who Stare at Goats”.
