‘DWTS’ results - Tristan MacManus and Nancy Grace safe as Chaz Bono goes home

Chaz Bono and partner Lacey Schwimmer were eliminated last night from ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ after a “lackluster” performance on Monday night’s Broadway themed show. The couple received a judges’ score of only 19 of 30 points, the lowest score for the evening.

"I came on this show because I wanted to show America a different kind of man, and I know that if there was someone like me on TV when I was growing up, my whole life would have been different," said Chaz following his elimination, as reported by US Magazine. "I dedicate everything I did to all the people out there like me - especially the kids and teens who are struggling. You can have a wonderful, great life and be successful and happy."

Cher, mother of Chaz Bono, offered nothing but support to her transgender son, taking to Twitter to blast the male judges : “Going Home is Fine but why insult him b4 he Goes! Maybe Rudeness & Flapping Arms take the place of TALENT ! As for the Older Gentleman ....every Show Needs A Grumpy Old Man !”

Chaz had grown increasingly frustrated with judge Bruno Tonioli’s constant comparisons of him to animals, but his review of Chaz on Monday as a “penguin” would evidently be the last.

Other pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy riled up some drama when he claimed during his judges review on Monday that DWTS was “his show.” He later softened his gasp-inducing blow by saying how he does indeed love the show, but he will not apologize to Len for his comments. When asked by host Brooke Burke Chavret if the judges are entitled to their opinions, Maks said yes, but that they [the dancers] were as well. Chmerkovskiy is partnered with pro soccer player Hope Solo, who received dull commentary on Monday and was in the bottom along with the now eliminated Chaz.

Dublin’s favorite ballroom dancer Tristan MacManus and partner Nancy Grace made a turn for the better on Monday after their foxtrot to 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life' from Monty Python. The duo were awarded 24 points from the judges, with Carrie Ann Inaba commenting that the pair "upped the ante on your content, and you nailed it." Grace was moved to tears by the high score and positive reviews from the judges.

Next week, the dueling duos get into the spirit of the season with a special Halloween themed episode. Will Team MacGrace “up the ante” yet again? Tune in Monday to ABC to find out!
