Hit stars of "Glee" are to perform in Dublin next summer and are scheduled for two shows at Dublin's O2 arena.

Among the celebrities lined up to perform in Dublin is Irish American Darren Criss who plays Blaine in the show.

Criss, 23, is Half Filipino, Half Irish and is a recent edition to the show.

He is best known for his portrayals of Harry Potter in 'A Very Potter Musical' and Blaine in the second season of Glee.

As a child, Criss played a variety of instruments, some of which include violin, guitar, piano and drums.

During this time, he played drums in a band with his brother, Chuck, until Chuck moved to New York City to develop his music career (and subsequently join the indie rock group Freelance Whales).

Criss went on to the University of Michigan, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance, Acting.

Other cast members to perform include Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum, Jr (Mike), Chord Overstreet (Sam).

Commenting on the Dublin shows, 'Glee' star Riley said: "I loved performing for the fans in Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix and New York last year and didn't think there was any way to top that experience. But performing in The O2, Dublin? How cool is that? We cannot wait."
