Colin Farrell joins ‘Dragon Tattoo’ director and star in ‘Dead Man Down’

Colin Farrell’s newest project will cast him alongside Swedish actress Noomi Rapace and under the directing of Neils Adren Oplev. The film, ‘Dead Man Down,’ is scheduled to start shooting early next year.

The new action thriller stars Colin Farrell in the lead as Victor, a New York City gangster working for a crime lord. Rapace plays Beatrice; she seduces Farrell’s character after she is the victim of a violent crime.

Noomi Rapace will be starring in the film adaptation of the popular book ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ alongside Rooney Mara. Rapace will also be working on the next “Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows,” starring Robert Downey, Jr.

IFTN reports that the film has already received $30million in funding from independent financing and production group IM Global and set to start filming early in 2012.

Colin Farrell’s film ‘London Boulevard’ will be in limited release in the US starting November 11th.
