From the producers of “Riverdance” comes a 40 dancer strong show fusing Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban dance

From the producers of the Irish dance hit show “Riverdance”, “Heartbeat of Home” a dance show that will fuse Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban dance forms is set to premiere in Chicago.

The show directed by John McColgan ( who also helmed “Riverdance”), with “narrative and lyrics” by Joseph O’Connor, will include 40 dancers, choreographed by David Bolger, and  ten live musicians playing a new score by Brian Byrne.

Eighteen years after to launch of “Riverdance’s” world touring career “Heartbeat of Home” is being billed as treble-happy predecessor.

"Heartbeat of Home" will be seen in Dublin this fall. The U.S. tour will kick off in Chicago at the Oriental Theatre, 151 W. Randolph St. Performance dates are March 4 to 16.
