The most nominated male actor in the Academy Award’s history Jack Nicholson turns 78 today. We took a look at some of the suave and quick witted actor’s more memorable and repeated quotes.

John Joseph "Jack" Nicholson is a film director, producer, and writer most famously known for his roles in “Easy Rider”, “The Shining” and more recently “About Schmidt” and “As Good As it Gets.” He also famously played the Irish gangster boss, based on Whitey Bulger, in “The Departed.” Throughout his long career he has been nominated for 12 Academy Awards, making him the most nominate male actor in the award’s history.

The star, with Irish roots on his mother’s side, won aa best actor Oscar for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “As Good as it Gets.” He also won a golden statuette for best supporting male in “Terms of Endearment.” Nicholson also who a Grammy Award for best album for “Children for The Elephant's Child.”
