Oprah is shutting down Chicago’s Magnificent Mile today and throwing a massive party to celebrate the start of the 24th season of her show.

TV’s most famous talk show host has opened the star-studded event to the public on a first come, first serve basis, and the Black Eyed Peas, Criss Angel, Rascal Flatts and Jennifer Hudson will all be there to ring in the season opener of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” at 5 p.m.

Oprah.com promises surprise faces at the party, slyly stating “You never know who will show up…”

It just so happens that Bono and the boys of U2 are in Chicago this week to kick off the North American leg of their 360 Tour.

Rumor has it that Bono might just be one of the surprise guests at Oprah’s shindig, given that the two humanitarians have worked together before.

U2 fans can find out if their favorite rocker shows up to support his friend when the “Oprah's Season 24 Kickoff Party” airs this Thursday, September 10.

The Irish megaband will play their Chicago gigs at Soldier Field on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13.
