Always doing something to help charities, former U.S. president Bill Clinton has vowed to auction himself off for a private dinner to raise money for his foundation.
Clinton will give the highest bidder an opportunity to attend a meal with him at the Clinton Presidential Center in Arizona for his charity, The Clinton Foundation.
The winner of the auction will be able to bring three friends with him.
The auction was opened at a $25,000 bid this week and will remain open until December 2.
"I'm looking forward to showing the auction winner some of my favorite exhibits and enjoying dinner with them overlooking the Arkansas River," he told People magazine.
"But more importantly, I look forward to the impact the winning bid will have on the work my foundation does around the world."
eBay spokesperson Amanda Miller added: "The president is one of most popular political figures in the world. We anticipate that his eBay charity auction will draw bidders from around the globe."
Clinton established the William J. Clinton Foundation with the mission of strengthening the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence.
Today, the Clinton Foundation works to alleviate poverty, improve global health, strengthen economies, and protect the environment, by fostering partnerships among governments, businesses, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), and private citizens.
