Tourism Ireland officials have confirmed that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are, indeed, honeymooning in Ireland. The reality star is following in the footsteps of her parents, who also honeymooned in Ireland.

The visit by the media obsessed couple, who are tracked everywhere by paparazzi, is good news for Ireland, especially the tourism sector.

Tourism Ireland CEO Niall Gibbons released a tweet welcoming the couple who are said to be in the Cork/Limerick area.

Tourism Ireland has grabbed the moment to release a YouTube video of the couple’s plane arriving in Cork and some suggestions for their honeymoon trips. They got married in Florence last weekend.

One suggestion is that Kimye take in the sights along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, a 1,700 mile coastal tour from Donegal to Cork.

Other recommendations for the couple include a trip to Belfast to visit the Titanic Quarter and shopping in Dublin.

Kim Kardashian is following in her parents' footsteps with her dream honeymoon with new husband Kanye West in the south of Ireland, according to reports.

The Irish Independent has identified Castle Oliver in the foothills of the Ballyhoura Mountains as the celebrity couple’s dream destination.

And the paper says the star couple’s decision to honeymoon in Ireland was taken at the eleventh hour when the bride decided she wanted to mirror the wedding of her parents.

They opted for an Irish honeymoon and visited Dublin, Cork and Kerry during their visit almost 30 years ago.

The last minute decision to fly to Ireland after their lavish Italian wedding last Saturday meant a number of options weren’t available.

The paper has identified Castle Oliver in Ardpatrick, Co Limerick, as the host destination for Kimye’s first week of married life.

Approached by the paper, castle owner Emma Cormack said: “I can’t comment on the couple.”

The report says neighbors reported ‘a lot of activity’ at the castle over the weekend, with cars coming and going and lawns being cut.

The lavish wedding venue is currently for sale and the latest visitors are bound to help a sale.

Kimye will sleep in a four-poster bed with an adjoining bathroom with a double-slipper bathtub, according to reports.

The paper adds that they can dine in the magnificent dining room, relax in front of the fire in the library, enjoy Castle Oliver’s ballroom or wander in the private gardens.

Kimye are due to fly back to the US from Cork Airport by private jet on Saturday.
