Super Bowl 50 sensation Beyoncé quickly followed up her show-stealing performance at the halftime show with the announcement of her new world tour, which will see a summer date in Dublin.

In a busy 36 hours for the global superstar, she released a surprise new single “Formation,” performed the new track at one of the biggest sporting events in the world and rounded it off with the news all fans wanted to hear when she’d just left them wanting more – 40 new shows.

Kicking off in just over two months time, the “Formation” tour is set to travel to Dublin’s Croke Park on July 9, with tickets costing from around $55 (€49.50) going on sale to the general public on Feb 15.

For any members of the BeyHive fan club, owners of an American Express card or those willing to fork out a lot extra for the VIP package experience, tickets will be made available today at 12pm (Irish time).

For those unlucky in acquiring a Dublin ticket, there will also be five further shows in the UK with tickets going on sale for these dates on Feb 16.

Officially starting on April 27 in Miami, the “Formation” tour will be Queen Bey’s first solo tour since the "Mrs. Carter Show" World Tour in 2013. Spanning five continents, the “Drunk in Love” singer performed to over two million fans.

The “Formation” tour are relatively spread out leading to speculation that further shows may be added in Ireland and the UK when the first six inevitably sell out.

The two-week gap between the end of the North American leg of the tour and European dates has also led some to wonder if a headline set at Glastonbury or an appearance at the Barclaycard British Summer Time might be on the cards. She may, however, be taking a well-needed and deserved break!

With featured guest appearances from her rapper husband Jay-Z and countless monarchic outfits in the “Mrs. Carter Show” World Tour, fans can expect an extravagant show with its own political statements if last Sunday’s performance is anything to go by.

After Beyoncé stole the halftime show at the Super Bowl 50 on Sunday evening, many commented that the internationally acclaimed British band Coldplay were more of a warm up act to the main act, despite their own fame, success and headliner status.

Despite performing a song she released just a day before to the expectant crowd, she pulled it off like only Beyoncé could, turning “Formation” into an instant anthem and showcasing herself as a performer at the height of her power.

Beyoncé and Coldplay were also joined by Bruno Mars performing last year’s massive hit with Mark Ronson, “Uptown Funk.”

Beyoncé’s latest world tour will include 20 US shows and two Canadian shows with tickets going on presale today followed by general sale on Feb 15. Tickets will cost between $45 and $355.
