The Queen’s Irish Guard band, at Buckingham Palace, in London, surprised visitors with an impromptu cover of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” theme tune.

Recorded just last week the video already has over 1.3 million views. Newspapers joked that the hit fantasy drama show, with 13.6 million viewers worldwide, even has a fan in Queen Elizabeth.

The video was uploaded by Omer Barnea, who filmed the Irish Guards playing during the Changing of the Guard ceremony, a popular tourist spectacle.

The idea that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip are fans was sparked by their recent visit to HBO’s "Game of Thrones" set in Belfast. The Queen politely declined the invitation to sit on the show’s famed “Iron Throne.

The theme tune of the song is massively popular with the show’s fans. Originally composed by Grammy-nominated German composer Ramin Djawadi, the song is constantly being covered.
