This year’s iFest kicks off in Boston on Friday 26th September and runs for three days over the weekend. The festival CEO and founder Rachel Kelly invites visitors to “see, hear, taste and experience the best of Ireland, at this exciting showcase of contemporary Irish life”. From Irish music to tasty Irish cuisine iFest caters for all the family.

One of the acts headlining the festival is Irish band Seo Linn. The 7 band members; Stiofán, Keith, Jenny, Daithí, Cathal, Kevin and Conchúr, all in their early twenties, hail from all corners of Ireland and bring their musical talents together to create music for everyone, old and young alike.

Not only has this band completely revolutionized the Irish language but they are also the mind and brains behind the world famous Coláiste Lurgan music videos that have taken the internet by storm.

This year has been a groundbreaking year for the band as they released their first original song “Ár Scáth a Chéile” back in April which they wrote while on a trip to Uganda with the charity Self Help Africa.

The band formed back in 2012 with a focus on furthering Irish language and culture. They’ve played around Ireland and the UK as well as popular Irish festival, Electric Picnic for the last couple of years. Now they bring their musical talents across the pond to Boston where they are set to perform on all three days of the festival.

This is one band you certainly won’t want to miss this weekend. Click here to get your tickets for iFest.
