Simon Peters, from Donegal, is the youngest Irish person ever invited to perform in Nashville. Described as “Ireland’s next Daniel O’Donnell” he performed on Midnight Jamboree, a radio show listen to by millions across the U.S.
 
The young boy performed songs be Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert. He was so well received that he’s been invited back next year.
 
He said “I was so surprised to be invited once, let alone twice. George Hamilton [the country singer] sent me a letter which I got when I got home asking me to come back again. Just to work with big names such as Kenny Chesney was a dream come true. They said they were impressed with me and it is the perfect end to such a great year."
 
Simon featured on this years Late Late Toy Show. He also appeared on the Irish country music TV show “Hot Country”. The show is run by his manager Hugh O’Brien.

At the end of the day, he is a talented 10-year-old who was broadcast to millions of listeners from the home of country music in Nashville, Tennessee, and he also performed his own self-penned 'Living My Dream' in front of a live audience and backed by a live band."
 
Simon has said that although he intends to continue with his music career he will finish his education first. He said “My mam will want me to finish school and I am going to do that, but I will keep on writing new tracks and I will keep on recording over the next few years, and then who knows what will happen? But this is what I really want to do."
