Some of us have a tendency to associate a name with a person we previously haven’t seen eye to eye with causing us to judge a new person based solely on the unfortunate chance of them sharing the same name.

Could it be that certain names cause a person to take on bad traits, however? EliteSingles.ie took a look at 20,000 single Irish people to see which people had the highest opinion of themselves and they determined that the people most likely to have the biggest egos were named Declan and Patricia.

The dating site looked at how users ranked their own intelligence, sexiness, faithfulness, attractiveness and sense of humor on a self assessment scale from 1-7 to establish what the most and least egotistical male/female first names were among Irish people and it appears that these Declan and Patricia hold themselves in very high regard.

Anybody named Jamie and Rebecca on the other hand may need to work on their confidence as the site found that these users wouldn’t rank themselves highly at all.
