Police in Ireland chase a UFO down the street (VIDEO)

A video has appeared online showing a Garda car in pursuit of what looks like a flying saucer on the streets of Gorey, Co Wexford.

In the curious footage, which appeared on Facebook, the “UFO” proceeds down the street followed by a squad car with its lights flashing.

However, a spokesman for the police told the Irish Times that the “pursuit” was really an escort. The flying saucer is the centerpiece of an installation for a space-themed art show from local artist Ali Kemal Ali. 

Said the Garda spokesman: “The gardaí gave (Ali) a little escort around the town to show the UFO off. It was all in good faith.”
