But the basement Irish pub of this die-hard Notre Dame fan in Ohio might just take the cake.
In the following video, Jerry Kennedy, who blogs about the Fighting Irish under the name Dame Fan, takes his friends and fellow fans on a video tour of his at-home Irish pub.
When one of the Claddagh Pubs in Columbus closed, Kennedy bought the pub’s contents and reconstructed it piece by piece in his basement as the ideal Notre Dame watering hole.
The secret pub is accessed via a trick book case and a flight of stairs. In the pub itself, Irish music plays in the background and the walls are lined with Guinness mirrors, posters and Irish street signs. An old Jameson barrel rests on the floor, and the curved wooden bar is complete with a gold claddagh insignia.
There’s also a bell to ring for touchdowns and a frost plate to keep drinks cold! Bottles of Jameson Black Barrel and Gold Reserve are hooked up to shot dispensers and, yes, that is indeed beer on tap.
We are not at all jealous of Jerry and his friends, not jealous at all.
